Strangely, Awkward Sex is one of the most affirming zines I’ve read in a long time. I bought a pile of zines recently, many seeming to have more depth than the one called Awkward Sex, but the one called Awkward Sex was the only one that reminded me about the endless ways humans can be unique and alike and connected and disconnected and how seemingly simple social skills are so often infinitely hard and that, while we obsess over it constantly, sex is really quite complicated and strange a lot of the time. The brief version: Awkward Sex is a 26-page collection of essays and art by 20 women (queer and straight) from 6 countries around the world. And it’s pretty great. 26 Pages, Legal size.
